Meet the Team

Brian D. Schwartz co-manages all aspects of Harren’s business with Tom Carver and runs the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida office. Prior to joining Harren in 2007, Brian was a Managing Director since 1998 at Miami–based H.I.G. Capital. He originally joined H.I.G. in 1994. During his 14 year career, Brian has led more than 30 middle market investments in a variety of industries including business services, energy services, logistics, telecommunications, manufacturing and building products.  He has served on the boards of directors of many H.I.G. portfolio companies, both public and private. 

 

Brian earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BS with honors from the University of Pennsylvania. He is active in many civic organizations and philanthropy is a high priority in his life. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of two foundations: the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation (one of the leading children’s hospital in the U.S.) and the Memorial Hospital Foundation (the second largest hospital system in South Florida ).

 

Brian is also a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and enjoys golf, fly-fishing and coaching youth soccer in his free time.
