Prior to joining Harren in 2001, George started his career in the Leveraged Finance / Financial Sponsors Group of Credit Suisse First Boston, a leading global investment bank in New York, where he participated in various advisory assignments and raised over $28 billion in capital for clients in a variety of industries.

George received a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude from the Williams School of Commerce at Washington and Lee University, where he was elected Omicron Delta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma.

George currently serves as President of the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Washington and Lee University Alumni Association and as a member of his church's Parish Council.  He is a member and former officer of the Monticello Chapter of AHEPA, an international philanthropic organization.  George is also active in local and state political organizations and campaigns, including a completed term as an executive committee officer of the local unit of a major national political party.

In his free time, George is an avid sports fan and political observer, plays recreational ice hockey and sings. He and his wife, Amanda, are active canine rescue advocates and enjoy spending time outdoors with their two Bernese Mountain Dogs and one Dachshund.
